§ 22-372. Registered agent.

(a)

All peddlers and transient merchants shall have and continuously maintain a registered agent, whose name and permanent address shall be kept on file with the city.

(b)

The registered agent shall be a resident of the county and shall be an agent upon whom any process, notice or demand required or permitted by law to be served upon the peddler of transient merchant may be served and in the same manner provided by law for the service of a summons and complaint.

(c)

The registered agent shall agree in writing to act as such agent, and a copy of the agreement shall be filed with the license application.

(d)

Nothing in this section shall limit or affect the right to serve any process, notice or demand in any other manner now or hereafter permitted by law.
