§ 34-4. Building numbering for firefighting purposes.

  • No resident, tenant or landlord shall fail to maintain legible street address numbers on any building, residence or occupancy within the city. Street address numbers must be clearly and easily visible from the street, shall be placed in a position to be specified by the fire department, and shall be no less than three inches in height for residential units nor less than six inches in height for commercial or industrial units. In addition to the numerals posted on the street access side of a structure, commercial and industrial occupancies shall place street address numbers and business name at the rear entrance to their establishments and at such other locations as required by the fire department.
