§ 3-10. Confidential information.
Except as required by Georgia's Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-18-90 et seq.) or other properly enacted statutory authority, elected and appointed officials, whether paid or unpaid, shall not disseminate non-public information obtained by reason of their public office concerning the property, governing operations, policies, decisions, plans or affairs of the city to individuals who are not members of the governmental authority. Nor shall such official use such information or any information acquired in his/her official capacity to advance his/her financial or personal interest or that of others under any circumstances.
