§ 58-22. Sign location.
(a)
Obstructions to doors, windows, or fire escapes. No sign shall be erected, relocated, or maintained to prevent free ingress or egress from any door, window, or fire escape.
(b)
Signs not to constitute traffic hazard. No sign or any part thereof, except authorized traffic signs, shall be located in any government right-of-way.
(c)
Setback. Unless a more restrictive setback is specified in conditions of zoning or otherwise in this chapter, all signs shall set back at least ten feet from the right-of-way or 20 feet from the edge of pavement if a private street and no sign shall project over the right-of-way. Freestanding signs shall be a minimum of 25 feet from an intersection as measured from the intersection of the two rights-of-way and shall be a minimum of 35 feet from any other freestanding signs.
