§ 74-57. Water service installation charges.

  • (a)

    The city council shall establish from time to time a schedule of fees for water installation, which shall include tapping the city water main, furnishing and installing a water meter and curb stop, and furnishing labor and material for installation of the water line from the city's water main in the street to the customer's property line. A copy of the schedule shall be available for public inspection and maintained for such purposes in city hall.

    (b)

    Fees for water installation involving meters larger than those specified in the schedule shall be established on an individual basis by the city council upon application therefor, but will generally be determined by the cost of the meter, labor and material for installation.

    (c)

    All fees set forth in the schedule shall be due and payable when the application for water installation is submitted to the city or as otherwise provided by the city council.
