§ 46. Disposal of municipal property, abandoned property, stolen property and confiscated property.

The governing body is authorized and empowered to enact reasonable ordinances governing the disposal of city property, property which is abandoned and unclaimed, property which is known to be stolen but the true owner cannot be located, and legally confiscated property. However, no ordinance adopted pursuant to this authority shall allow any municipal officer or employee to personally benefit from the disposal of such property.
