§ 14-2. Animal control officers.

  • (a)

    The city council may appoint animal control officer(s), who shall have such duties and shall perform such functions as are required by state law and by this chapter. The city council may authorize the entry of contract(s) with Clayton County and/or any other available government or private entity for the services of the animal control officer(s).

    (b)

    If the appropriate contractual arrangements are completed, the contracted agency or agencies shall perform the duties and exercise the powers assigned to that position by state law and by this chapter.
