§ 46-2. Duties of code enforcement officer and fire marshal.

  • (a)

    The code enforcement officer shall be authorized and empowered to issue warnings and citations for violations of City Code provisions. Citations issued pursuant to this section shall be returnable to the city court. The code enforcement officer shall be authorized and empowered to enforce the provisions of the following chapters and appendices of this Code and any additional chapters, articles or sections that are added to the City Code by amendment or ordinance:

    Amusement and entertainment;

    Animals;

    (18)

    Buildings and building regulations;

    (22)

    Businesses;

    (23)

    Telecommunications services franchises and licenses;

    Cable communications;

    Fire prevention and protection;

    (38)

    Floods;

    (42)

    Health and sanitation;

    (50)

    Offenses and miscellaneous provisions;

    (58)

    Signs;

    (62)

    Solid waste;

    (66)

    Streets, sidewalks and other public places;

    (68)

    Taxation;

    (69)

    Telecommunication towers and antennas;

    (70)

    Traffic and vehicles;

    (74)

    Utilities;

    (78)

    Vehicles for hire;

    (A)

    Zoning;

    (B)

    Subdivisions; and

    (C)

    Development regulations.

    (b)

    The fire marshal shall be authorized and empowered to issue warnings and citations for violations of certain City Code provisions. Citations issued pursuant to this section shall be returnable to the city court. The fire marshal shall be authorized and empowered to enforce the provisions of the following chapters and appendices of this Code:

    Streets, sidewalks and other public places;

    Traffic and vehicles;

    (A)

    Zoning;
