§ 46-3. Standard operating guidelines for code enforcement adopted.

The mayor and council of the city do hereby adopt the standard operating guidelines for code enforcement as the official policy to govern code enforcement, the code enforcement officer and the fire marshal when the fire marshal is enforcing the City Code.

The mayor and council expect the code enforcement officer and fire marshal to adhere to the policies within the standard operating guidelines for code enforcement to ensure that the Code of Ordinances is enforced in an equitable and objective manner, with the single goal of making the city a more livable community. The standard operating guidelines may be amended from time to time as needed by the director of the community development and general services department.
