§ 50-42. Telephonic alarm systems—Scope.

  • (a)

    A telephonic alarm system is an alarm system which is wired in such a way that activation of the alarm results in direct connection of the alarm with the lines of the fire department switchboard which are dedicated to public use.

    (b)

    Telephonic alarm system does not include any alarm which:

    (1)

    Contacts a control center which screens calls to eliminate false alarms before such calls are routed to the fire department; or

    (2)

    Utilizes a dedicated line into the fire department which is not available for public use.
