§ 66-29. Indemnity bond obligations.

  • (a)

    As a condition precedent to the granting of a permit, the city requires the applicant to furnish an indemnity bond or other acceptable security conditioned to pay any damages to any part of a public road or to any member of the public caused by work of the applicant under authority of such permit.

    (b)

    In addition to the indemnity bond, any person obtaining a permit agrees, as a condition of the issuance of the permit, to indemnify and hold harmless the city against any claims or expenses, including attorney's fees, for bodily injury or property damage for accidents or occurrences arising out of the person's operations in performing work under the permit.
