§ 66-31. Protection to public.

(a)

Notification to police department. The permit holder must notify the city police department in writing before any work is begun. The notification should specify the dates and times that work will be performed and set forth the traffic regulation plan.

(b)

Traffic regulation. While work is in progress, it shall be the duty and the responsibility of the applicant to insure that the work performed under authority of the permit does not unreasonably interfere with the use of the any public road. It shall be the responsibility of the applicant to provide adequate, safe and competent traffic control at all times and to maintain adequate signal or warning devices necessary to protect the traveling public.
