§ 66-56. Definitions.

  • For the purpose of this article, the following words and phrases shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them by this section:

    Motorcade means an organized procession containing 25 or more vehicles, except funeral processions, upon any public street, sidewalk or alley.

    Parade means any march or procession consisting of people, animals or vehicles or combination thereof, except funeral processions, upon any public street, sidewalk or alley, which does not comply with normal and usual traffic regulations or controls.

    Special event means any activity which occurs upon private or public property that will affect the ordinary use of public streets, rights-of-way or sidewalks. This includes, but is not limited to, fairs, festivals, foot runs and bicycle runs.
