§ 45. Revocation of licenses.

  • Be it further enacted, that the mayor and councilmen of said city may revoke the license of, and prohibit the operation of, any business or establishment for which a license may have been issued, in the event the same becomes a nuisance or is dangerous, hazardous or injurious to the health or morals of the inhabitants of said City of Riverdale, and in the case of such, licenses shall be refunded. But no license shall be revoked, without giving written notice to the person, firm or corporation holding such license, such notice stating that reason or reasons why such license is being revoked, and affording such person, firm or corporation an opportunity to be heard on the question before said mayor and council, the said notice setting forth the time and place of the hearing on the revocation of such license. The decision of the mayor and councilmen of said city, revoking any such license, shall be final.
